The B & R Bow Saver is a unique new product that allows
you to easily moor and protect your boat for long or short
periods of time. Made from plastic, with a soft edge trim,
it allows you to tie or attach stainless steel clips to the
bow eye, considered to be the strongest fastener on the boat.
Be secure with the knowledge that your boat’s bow area
gelcoat and fiberglass are being protected. Our 10” Bow
Saver is designed specifically for boats moored in a single
slip. This unique design allows you to tie or clip the boat
in either a 4 point or 5 point system. (See fig.1) Our 7” Bow
Saver is designed specifically for boats moored in a double
slip. This unique design allows you to tie or clip the boat
in a 2 point system. Depending on the type of boat you have,
you may also be able to use another 7” on the back
mooring eye. This will protect both tie points from damage.

Our B & R 10” Bow Saver was designed
specifically for use on boats that are moored in single slips
using either a 4 point or 5 point mooring system. The bow saver
should be placed on the boat’s bow eye, decal side up,
and the mooring clips or ropes should be attached. We do not
recommend this unit for use on boats using a double slip, 2
point mooring system. Your boat’s bow eye is considered
the strongest point for mooring on the boat. Using the bow
saver at this point provides your boat the best protection
possible during inclement weather and in rough waters. Mooring
lines may have a tendency to stretch over time and in rough
water. When you allow for some slack in the lines, the bow
saver will help keep the clips or ropes away from the gelcoat
and fiberglass. Boat manufacturers recommend checking your
mooring lines often during the boating season, and adjusting
any slack as may be required. The 10” Bow Saver may also
be used for boats attached to mooring buoys.

Our B & R 7” Bow Saver was designed
specifically for use on boats that are using a double slip,
2 point mooring system. The bow saver should be placed on the
boat’s bow eye, decal side up, and the mooring clips
or ropes should be attached. We do not recommend this unit
for use on boats using a single slip, 4 point, or 5 point mooring
system. Your boat’s bow eye is considered to be the strongest
point for mooring on the boat. Using the bow saver at this
point provides your boat the best protection possible during
inclement weather and in rough waters. Mooring lines may have
a tendency to stretch over time and in rough water. When you
allow for some slack in the lines, the bow saver will help
keep the clips or ropes away from the gelcoat and fiberglass
areas of your boat. Boat manufacturers recommend checking your
mooring lines often during the boating season and adjusting
any slack as may be required. In some cases owners may choose
to use the 7” Bow Saver for boats attached to mooring
buoys. Some boats will have a mooring eye located on the back
for lines, the 7” bow saver will in some instances work
on the aft ties, thus providing additional protection for your
boat.

Each year boaters spend hundreds and thousands
of dollars repairing damage caused by docks, slips, and ties.
The B & R Bow Saver can reduce a segment of that damage.
This simple yet ingenious product helps to protect the bow
area while your boat is moored in a single slip, a double slip,
or on a mooring buoy. Functional and easy to use, the bow saver
can preserve the value of your boat when used correctly. Your
boat will always have that added protection when moored at
the dock while you’re away. Our Bow Saver has gone through
three years of on-water testing, and has proven to be an inexpensive
and practical safeguard when mooring your boat. (See Fig.2)
Boats today are very expensive, and we all want them to look
good. Blemishes and marks can damage a boat, resulting in costly
structural and cosmetic damage. Protecting your boat will pay
off in the long run, especially when it’s time to sell
or trade your boat. Making the B & R Bow Saver an essential
component of your daily boating, will add to your overall protection.
